24-Hour Salad

 This was my Aunt Anna’s recipe.

2 cups Royal Ann cherries or 1 cup Royal Ann cherries and 1 cup maraschino cherries
2 cups diced pineapple, drained
2 cups orange slices, can use mandarin oranges
2 cups canned grapes
2 cups miniature marshmallows

Mix all above well.
 
Dressing
3 egg yolks
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup pineapple juice
2 Tbsp butter
1 cup whipped cream
 
Cook til thick in double boiler. Cool and add whipped cream. Stir lightly into above fruits. Let set “24 Hours.”
