1 cup
shortening
2 eggs
1 cup
buttermilk
Sift
together:
2 ½ cups
flour
2 tsp
soda
½ tsp
salt
½ cup
cocoa
1 tsp
vanilla
1 cup
boiling water
Cream together sugar and
shortening. Add eggs and
buttermilk. Add in dry ingredients, mixing well. Add vanilla and
boiling water.
Mix and bake in a bundt pan at 325° for 1 hour.
Sprinkle
with powdered sugar or ice with following:
Frosting
4 Tbsp
oleo
1 tsp
vanilla
1 box
powdered sugar
2 Tbsp
cocoa to each cup powdered sugar
8 Tbsp
milk
