steak, cut 1 inch thick
1 clove
garlic
½ cup
flour

teaspoons salt

paprika
1 cup
sliced onions
1 cup
sliced mushrooms
¼ cup
fat
½ cup
hot
water
1 cup
sour
cream
Cut
meat into 8 serving pieces. Rub each piece with cut
side of garlic. Mix flour, salt, paprika together and pound into meat.
Brown
onions, mushrooms in fat in heavy fry pan. Add meat and brown on both
sides.
Add water and cover. Cook over low heat 40 to 45 minutes or until meat
is
tender, adding more water if necessary. Pour sour cream over meat.
Cover. Simmer
10 minutes longer.
