Two Egg Cake

2 cups flour
11/3 cups sugar
2½ tsp baking powder
¾ tsp salt
½ cup shortening
2/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs, unbeaten
¼ cup milk
 
Mix above and beat on No. 3 speed. Bake in 9x13 or two 9-inch round cake pans that have been greased and floured 25 to 30 minutes at 350°.
 
This cake you had to lick the beaters when Mom was finished.—Peggy
